REVIEW ( ) OUR VERDICT : "A GOOD MOVIE, THAT'S ALL !"
This is story of one
women, that only wanted the truth, and one man who knew so much, that
he couldn't say it live. Jane Fonda stars as an ambitious TV reporter,
Kimberly wells, that was covering a story on energy sources in a nuclear
power plant when a starting accident occurred that could have nearly caused
the melting of the reactor. Michael Douglas is the cameraman that captured
the accident but the television station wouldn't put on footage.
Though the power plant's head corporate denied the possibility of any
danger, Jack godell (Lemmon) the veteran engineering, shouted loud to
convince them that peaces of equipment were defective and that they
shouldn't power up the reactor again. But when a power plant generates half
a million $ a day, the stakes are high, and the interests too... Nominated
for 4 academy awards of whom best actor and best actress the china syndrome
is a realistic and sharp thriller about the dangers of nuclear energy and
the power of television news!
